Sorry, never saw the above comment. Delete htaccess. Make sure the folder you want excluded already exists. Set permalinks via WP admin. Since the folder you want excluded already exists, WP will take that into account automatically.

Your suggestion worked perfectly.

My first attempt created a recovery media on a SD Card, but this was not found by the BIOS as a bootable device.

After “adjusting” the ini file, I re-tried the install, this time onto a 16GB micro-SD using a USB adapter. (kensington to be exact). This combo resulted in a working solution through which I was able to boot, and start the recovery routine. I didn’t complete the recovery because my system is new and in fine condition.

So, short answer: YES, the recovery media can be installed into a USB-based flash device. Required size for Win7-64 (W520) 9.12GB. A 16GB Flash device should be perfect.

I used a Class 10 device (fastest) and the build of the recovery disk took approx 30-40 minutes. Using a slower (lower Class, cheaper) device will take longer. It will also take longer to boot and execute the recover process later when you use it.

I’m going to tape the recovery micro-SD on the inside of the HDD cover, so it’s always with the machine and ready to use.

Thanks Ken. Helped a lot. I too was surprised it was as simple as an ini file. I also found I can’t have a drive mapped to “S” when attempting to build the disks.

Sorry John,
you may be using a different (older or newer) version of Lenovo so they must have been changed to name of folders / files.

You may need to address this to Lenovo customer support, they can help.

Daniel and Priyesh, if the apps you have installed were from the time your device was jailbreaked then is no point in trying to have them on the device if is not jailbreaked anymore, it won’t work.

Have you tried to authorize your computer? Maybe this is the issue.

I have the same question what Daniel has, I have done the jailbreak of my Ipod touch (4.3.3), and now if I connect my Ipod to the computer/ itunes, it asks me to delete all the (62) applications as they seem to be unauthorized. Should I try the same trick of transfer purchases what you displayed or something else you wanna suggest?

i m having lenovo r500 laptop..
but i m not able to create product recovery media for the first time itself..
error message is coming- (The file “S:” required by this program cannot be found. This process has been cancelled).
please guide me how i can create recovery disk….

I was solving this issue also… when I tried to switch back themes its showed me this message “Broken Themes

The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template.” about my child developed theme… There must be some style in css file, not only import rules… I suppose that its the trouble source…

Your second method is fantastic Ken. I used to copy the text to the clipboard, then paste it into notepad, then copy the notepad text and then finally paste it into outlook. Your method is much easier. Well done!
