Craigslist Scammers

I’ve just added my Nikon D60 for sale on Craigslist and I’ve received right away an email scam from “somebody”, “asking” about my camera. I heard about Craigslist scams but I’ve never got one till now.

Scammer: “Hello please let me know if you still have this item on for sale”

My answer to it: “yes, I’ve just added today on craigslist.
Interested?”

Scammer:

“i actually want to buy it for my uncle’ teaching in the College..i will like u to help me find out how much it cost to ship to Benin Republic and get back to me so i can make the payment and once u get confirmation then u can do and ship item.do u have a paypal account??let me know SO i can pay You with a paypal account and once u get confirmation then u can go and ship item,……….so let me know so that i can pay u as soon as
possible………..thanks. Here is the shipping address below:: Yekini Wasiu, Hotel Mival, Cotonue
Benin Repurblic, 229 Thanks.”

And wait, I’ve just received another email scam. The important part:

Scammer:

“Thanks for your mail,i am buying the item for my son who school in oversea.i will add $130 for shipping,i will have do it local transaction but i am out of town presently…so you can get me back with your paypal email account so i can pay now.hope to hear from you soon
best regard ”

If you find something worth purchasing on Craig’s List that isn’t a scam but can’t afford it you may want to think about looking into quick payday loans.

Just wondering how many of you received the same kind of emails.
