I recommend for barometric calibration to use the location where you spend the most of your time, for me is my job place, the computer desk I’m working on and where I am checking for weather changes on a daily basis. I recommend also, to do not take off your watch from your wrist!

So, to make your wrist barometer work like a scientific barometer (it’s an exaggeration, of course) you’ll have to do the following:
1. google it for the local barometric pressure, eg. Toronto atmospheric pressure. Now that you have the real value get to the next step.
2. press the barometric button (mine is at the right-middle). You should have now the value displayed on your watch screen.
3. press now the adjust button for a couple of seconds until the screen is flashing.
4. press the select button (on my watch, Casio Pathfinder PAG80-1V, is on left) until is flashing OFF on the screen.
5. now is finally the adjusting phase. Press top-right / bottom-right buttons to adjust the barometer reading to the right one (you have been google it at the beginning of the calibration).

You’re done.

Remember, use for this calibration your location your spend the most of your time and do not take the watch, off your wrist. Of course is better if you’re adjusting as close is possible to the point in the town the barometric pressure measurement is taken, but on the other hand if your watch is calibrated outside you’ll have either to go outside all the time to read the atmospheric pressure or to assume all the time that there is a difference between what weather is showing your watch and the real weather from out there, thinking of the fact that the walls can interfere with your barometric readings.

This was getting me. It seams that chinaontv.com is registered since 2006 in Dallas – Texas, but their IP is located in China.

After reading of some discussion lists about chinaontv.com, I’d say that it is no virus but a weird redirection. It seams that responsible for this web redirect is a cookie which is keeping redirecting the browser to their website. Not sure that emptying the browser cache of cookies and temp files will solve the problem.

Looking on the web I’ve found this amazing Firefox add-on which is killing any attempt of web redirect. The add-on is named: Redirect Cleaner 1.2.0 and is located on this page. It is doing it’s job, recommended! :)

Speaking about me, I will always prefer a nice looking web design and/or a smart slogan or message for the users. All of these means that the website owners care about their users/readers/customers. No matter how much is coming to the money part in all of these reasons I will enjoy a good design.

Second step is to click Hide [name] button which will hide forever your friend status updates.

To un-hide your facebook friends wall updates is quite simple – go down on wall screen and at the bottom of the page click on Edit Options and after that select your friends who’s updates you want to follow, clicking on Add to News Feed button.

There is another (incomplete) way, to block a part of your followers by clicking on the person’s name and choosing Block, but for some followers is not working because they don’t have a public profile.

Anyway there is a lot of “buzz” around about Google privacy infringements related to this feature. On the other hand you can choose your “buzz” to be private which is kinda talking to yourself though.

The method consist in using a piece of software which is hiding/changing your real IP, named HotSpot Shield. Is free and is doing pretty well the job.

All you have to do is to alternate turning ON and OFF the HotSpot Shield. In this way you will watch 72 minutes of a movie from within an IP address and after that from another IP you can continue with the rest of the movie. I could watch movies for a couple of hours yesterday using this method :)

Just to make sure the method will work you can disable the cookies for TVShack only. I’m not 100% sure that is really helping but I did disable that cookies and everything is fine.

So, what’s wrong with Samsung Rant?

First of all, the quality of battery is worst than any phone I have been using in the last years, especially when is coming to listen mp3s. This is draining almost instantly the battery and is one of the thing that are really pissing me off.

The menu is such a shame. They were setup the menu to open on Internet Browser. If the phone is somehow getting unlocked in your poket the phone will go wild on the internet without you even knowing this. I discovered this happened in one day when I was riding my bike and guess what? The phone was opened by itself internet pages for a couple of hours. You don’t even guess how much I did payed for this stupid thing.

When Rant is gonna die, is really dying. When is coming to being discharged, the battery is running out of energy so fast! Be prepared when you’re on a single line of battery energy to plug it for recharging. I remember my old Nokia phone which was staying almost one full day on one line battery level. And was a really really old (and big! – do you remember Nokia 5110?).

Oh, I almost forgot about an important thing, the vibrations. Samsung Rant doesn’t give you the chance to setup both, the ringer and the vibration, you can pick up only one of these two. This is a kind of annoying thinking that sometimes we want to have both activate, the vibrations and the ring tone.

The contact list. Every time you go to see or modify one of the contacts, after finishing is not returning you the that contact in the list but at the beginning of the list. This being said, you modify a contact and you save it. When you go back you are at the beginning of the list. Just imagine if you want to modify a couple of contacts, you are starting modifying it in alphabet order and your contact list has 1,000 entries. This was getting me for a few times.

1. The registry method:
Open up the registry window by clicking on START and writing in run command: regedit (in translation reg(istry) edit). Hit OK.
Now go to:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Script\Settings\JITDebug
Make it 0.

This is doing practically the same thing as the method I have been presented into the old post but since for some of you is not working, maybe there was a glitch and hopefully this new one will do the job.

2. DrWatson method:

START / Run / type cmd and hit OK / type drwtsn32 -i and hit enter.

3. Disable Virtual Studio JIT Debugger:

Control Panel > Admin Tools > Services and disable Visual Studio JIT Debugger, if exist. If not, take a ride through system services that are pointing to one of the following software:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\vsjitdebugger.exe
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VS7Debug\vs7jit.exe

Disable anything you get related to these services. Or better, look after that executable into your computer files and rename them.

As an ultimate advice, download and install CCleaner and search and remove every registry entries from old deleted and uninstalled programs which can possible screw up your computer and make it generate errors and pop-up messages like this one.

Another advice is to remove IE developer’s toolbar. I’d been using it in the past, too. Now I open Firefox and there is that golden tool for developers, named Firebug so I almost forget IE and it’s bull-crap.
Good luck with removing of Just in time debugging pop-up and let me know if any of these methods help.

Error? Yeah, a return in front of some_method!

It’s an old trick, but some people(like me) still forget it :).
Why is return needed? Sends the return value to the browser, if it’s FALSE, nothing happens, if TRUE a submit is coming.

No Horizontal Type Tool, no Rectangular Marque Tool not even Move Tool. Whatever tool I tried to use it has only let me use the hand tool. It shows that the wanted tool is highlighted, but when over the window the icon shows as the hand tool and behaves as the hand tool, too.

The solution to get rid of this problem is very simple: close and open up again Photoshop, go to Edit, Preferences and click on Reset all Warnings Dialog (CTRL+K in Windows to get straight to the Preferences window).
It should work now :)

I have been googling it to see what the people are saying, but the people are starting to going crazy in all that kind of bull crap suppositions… may be the RAM, the hard drive have a hard time (bad sectors, etc) , the spacebar is sticking on keyboard and some of them even recommended to reinstall Photoshop or even crazy to run the antivirus.

Is not necessarily to style img a. It’s OK to style only the img and will apply that style to all images from that page/website, no matter if that pictures are carrying a link or not. If you want to apply the style only on a preferred page you will have to add the style into the header of that page only.

While some of these methods will work, other will not. I recommend using of: img {border: none}, which works well in all known web browsers. Many html-shrinker programs (programs which strip out superfluous white space and unneeded markup, to reduce the size of the page) reduce 0px, 0em, 0pt, etc) to just “0″ and the page-size is reduced by a few bits on every instance.

All of these methods are valid markup but, except the one I’ve just recommended, don’t expect to give the same results in all browsers.
As a final advice try to specify style, width and color explicitly. Not all browsers are that smart we want it to be and you understand perfectly about which one(s) I’m talking about.
