How to copy a protected image in FF
Sometimes you just want a photo from a website but it’s protected and you can’t save it on your computer. When you right click on it nothing happen or you receive a message that inform you that that picture is copyrighted and you can’t copied it. Everyone hate this kind of situation.
But there is a solution, Firefox provides us with the perfect tool to copy protected pictures from any website you want.
To do this follow the next steps:
1. Right click on the page where is the picture located
2. Click on View Page Info
3. Click on the Media Tab
4. Under “Address” browse through the pictures list and click on the desired image. Regularly that one which has the longest name is your photo.
5. To save it click on the Save as, browse the location where do you want to save it and that’s it.
Done!
Simple, huh? :)

Haha, i never thought about that even if i know about “View Page Info”. I know that i always browse to IMDB and see actor pictures and sometimes i would like to know how to share that with my friends but never know that. Great trick, happy to learn something new.
I’m really glad that you found this trick helpfully. Keep in touch :)
Thanks for the great post about protecting an image in FF. Your post brought up a lot of points that I haven’t thought about. I’m looking forward to reading a lot more of your site in the future.
Nice trick, but the thing is that I can’t even right click on the site.
When I do, nothing happens.
Is there any other trick that can help me out?
hmm, there is a JavaScript blocking your right click. Deactivate JavaScript from your browser – somewhere in settings and then try again.
It worked like a charm, thank you! :)
Wow! Thanks a lot. I was trying to get one photo and you totally helped! :)
when i save my picture to one of my picture folders,it will not let me view the photo. it says invalid photo. what do i do next?!
Another great day with another great learning! Thank you so much. I’m so glad I surfed by your website. Your suggestion is very helpful!
It can works if the pictures are not too numerous on page but browsing the list ofr the right pic can be pretty slow process if u need to aquire many pics. Any good extension for FF that can handle this by a one click?
I’m using Firefox, but the page I’m on only gives me three options when I right click… Settings, Global Settings, and About Adobe Flash. There is no tool bar at the top of the page either. Any idea how I can find “View Page Info” in this situation? Thanks!
Nevermind. Figured it out!
when I right click it only says Settings, Global Settings or About Adobe Flash Player….. what do you suggest?
vicki that’s a flash website. You won’t find images on it!
