How to disable Windows Genuine warnings
No matter if you are using a licensed windows or not (I’m not encouraging you to use a pirated Windows!) there is a smart solution to disable that annoying Windows Genuine warning. For who don’t know yet, this warning is a message to anyone is using an unlicensed copy of Windows on their computers.
To disable it you’ll have to make a modify to the Windows registry. Let’s get together into the solution of disabling of all Windows Genuine Advantage warnings.
It recommended first to make a data backup of your operating system, but you can go straight to the next step without risking too much. The probability to get after modifying windows registry an unstable operating system is very low. Of course assuming you’ll do it in the right way ;) Let’s get in!
1. CTRL+SHIFT+ESC / processes / click on wgatray.exe / End Task
2. restart your pc and keep F8 pressed and get into Safe Mode
3. Start / Search for files and folders and write into the search box: wgatray.exe
4. there should be 2 files, located both into the windows directories, delete both!
5. START / run / type: regedit
6. get: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\ Windows NT\CurrentVersion\WinlogonNotify and delete: WGALOGON.
7. Search into the registry files: wgatray.exe and delete any registry you found related to that .exe file.
8. restart the pc in normal mode. Done.
That is it, from now no annoying message from Windows Genuine ;)
