I have been trying for a couple of times to get cleared the Google Search History using the following path: Tools and after Clear Private Data. Unfortunately my web searches hasn’t been deleted.

Finally I’ve got the solution, which is solution is actually a easy one: go to Google Toolbar search box and click on the arrow. At the very bottom click on the Clear History link. Easy eh?

Smart enough, in this way you don’t have to delete and lose your browse history.

It seems that is not easy to grab a screen shot from a playing movie on a PC, when you’re using Windows Media Player.

In BSPlayer is very simple: press Shift + P or simple P and you will get saved all your movie print screens into the BSPlayer directory, usually here C:\Program Files\ACE Mega CoDecS Pack\BSPlayer\ in this form: bscap000.jpg, bscap001.jpg, etc.

The problem is the Video Card, the hardware acceleration which makes practically impossible for a movie to be captured into a print screen (remember this is applied only to WMP) . A similar situation is in photography where it’s very hard or impossible to catch the cyclist into a shot because of the speed of the action.

What we can do in both situations is to slow down the action and to make it “printable” on our screen. In computers we have to refer to the video hardware acceleration.

Here are the steps to be followed:

1 – Open Windows Media Player
2 – Go to Tools > Options > Performance
3 – click on “Video Acceleration“, drag the slider to none
4 – Click Apply and then OK
5 – Restart WMP if it’s not restarting by itself.
6 – Open the movie you want to take a screenshot of, fast forward to the place that you want one of, then click Print Screen button.
7 – Open MS Paint / Adobe PhotoShop, Corel Paint or whatever program you are thinking to use and paste it.
8. You should have now the printscreen of the movie.

A second method is referring to Overlays:

1. Open Window Media Player
2. Go to Tools > Options
3. In Options, click on Performance Tab
4. Click on the Advanced Button
5. Uncheck “Use Overlays”

Don’t forget to roll back the changes when you’re done :)

Click Ok

Let’s say you have to read a 1200 pages pdf document. After page 31 you want to close the computer to give it a shut down. Of course you’ll close the document too. How can you save the page number and open it again after a while? You don’t need to memorize the page number.

There is a plugin, made in JavaScript, with this function to mark a page, to create a bookmark in a PDF doc.
The plugin that I discovered is on this page.

Usage:
Open your document in Adobe Reader. Then choose Tools -> Bookmark from the menu. “Bookmark This Page” adds the bookmark. “Go To Bookmark” sends you to the bookmark you created. It remembers which PDF document you bookmarked so it works on all of your PDFs simultaneously.
