WordPress. Page template drop-down menu – disappear
This days, I got stacked into a problem – I wanted to create a Contact page but I couldn’t find where is the drop down menu in order to change the template for that new page. It was about another website of me.
I was pretty sure that there should be a number of different templates created by me a couple of months ago, not only the default template.
Took me a while to figure it out how to get back that drop down menu.
Here is the solution:
1. Upload your Template Page into your own Theme
2. Activate the default theme, then change it back to your theme (like reloading your theme)
2. Go to your new page, the template drop down box should be at its place. You can choose now any template for your new page. Thank God! :)
I am not 100% sure, but I think that problem is only in WordPress 2.7 and up.

Wow you saved me thanks mate! :)
For sure this is a bug!
Right, I’ve done that and it’s reappear…
I was solving this issue also… when I tried to switch back themes its showed me this message “Broken Themes
The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template.” about my child developed theme… There must be some style in css file, not only import rules… I suppose that its the trouble source…
